Basic Gundog Program (5-6 months)

​

​Our Gundog Training program is one of the most popular services we offer.  This program is a five to six month program. (can vary from dog to dog) In todays busy lifestyle, most dog owners do not have the time that is necessary to properly train their retriever.  Beaverdam Kennels offers a variety of in-kennel training programs whereby we board, feed, and train your dog to the desired level of performance you seek for your hunting companion.

The gun dog program covers a variety of training in step by step form. 

◦ On & off leash obedience 
◦ Collar conditioning 
◦ Force fetch 
◦ Steady to shot 
◦ Single & double retrieves 
◦ 3 handed casting & force to pile 
◦ Multiple hunting scenarios

Advanced Gundog Program (12-14 months)

​

This is for the avid hunter wanting a fully finished retriever. This program includes everything from the previous Gundog Program along with much more in depth training. Including cold land & water blinds, multiple marking (triples), marking concepts, posion birds & diversion birds, & many more hunting scenarios.

 

Pre Season Gundog Tune Ups (1-3 months)

Many of our clients do not have the time, place, or space to get their retriever ready to go right before hunting season rolls around. This is where our tune up comes into place. It gets your hunting companion back into shape & goes back over all the basics we have taught it prior. Dogs must be required to have completed our Basic Gundog Program for this service.

A new gundog training program starts on or around the 1st of every month.  Please schedule in advance to reserve a spot for your dog and we collect a $250 non-refundable deposit.  Also, our monthly price for your dog to go through our gun dog training program is $950 per month which includes all the care, boarding and training of your future gun dog.  For additional information, call Charlie at 706-436-1207 or click HERE to send an email with your questions.
